Innovative Benefit Planning is an employee benefit and financial services company seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager due to more corporate growth.

For over 20 years Innovative has enjoyed steady and significant growth that has numbered our client base in the thousands and has tripled the size of our staff. Within the past year, we have renovated and relocated to a state-of-the-art building designed to facilitate communication and collaboration. This unique layout is designed specifically for our staff and clients.

Ideally we are looking for someone with several years of account management experience to manage business accounts ranging from 200-2000 lives. This position is supported by an account team and has an in-house Compliance Counsel as an available resource.

Our Account Manager positions are one of the most critical and high-profile jobs within our organization. It is an essential position that directly supports our clients from establishing a positive engagement, to managing complete responsibility for the technical maintenance and promotion of a very progressive experience between Innovative and our clients.

DUTIES

Deliver customized and creative benefit options to our clients and their employees through the strategic management of:

Client Relations:

  • Diligently and quickly resolve issues until the most positive resolution is achieved; while regularly communicating progress
  • Function as contact for clients' management team
  • Ensure a positive client experience in all interactions
  • Client Implementation and Retention:
  • Work closely to support Benefit Consultants
  • Delegate to and optimize the work of various members of the benefits support team as needed
  • Secure proposals from carriers for Medical, Dental, Life and Disability rates understanding the nuances and differences of each carrier in order to solicit timely and accurate information.
  • Performs analysis to ensure that solutions are complete and match client demographics and their requested services
  • Oversee and/or prepare New Hire and Open Enrollment Kits.
  • Organize, set up and participate in Open Enrollment Meetings.

New Client Enrollment:

  • Oversee and verify that all new client company information is correctly implemented

QUALIFICATIONS

The Account Manager must have 3-5 years of experience in the Insurance field, along with:

  • A sense of urgency and ownership in all you do.
  • A generalist's knowledge of Medical, Dental, Life and Disability Insurance. Self-funded experience is highly valued
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to effectively interact and communicate with various insurance carriers and vendors.
  • Flexibility with working hours that at times require evening and weekend work.
  • A willingness to continually upgrade their knowledge and understanding of the Insurance industry and Desire to advance within the organization.

How We Measure Success:

  • 100% accuracy as it pertains to renewal and prospect presentations.
  • During the renewal and/or sales process, all timelines are communicated clearly and any potential issues or delays are clearly communicated both internally to the team and externally to client/prospect.
  • High client satisfaction factor (measured from client surveys) and retention persistency.
